Privacy Policy

1. Data Collected

The Namaz Vakti app collects or processes the following data to provide its service:

• Location: used to compute prayer times. Processed only on your device; not sent to our servers.
• Phone number: used for account creation and verification. Guest use without login is also possible.
• Worship data: prayer tracking, tasbih count, missed-prayer records — stored only on your device (MMKV local storage).
• Notification preferences: your local notification settings for prayer reminders are stored on your device.
• Device info: basic device information is sent to Expo servers for over-the-air (OTA) updates.
• Anonymous device ID: a randomly generated, non-identifying ID is stored on your device to measure how many distinct devices use the app. This ID is not Apple IDFA or Google GAID.
• Usage statistics: platform (iOS/Android), OS version, app version, device model, selected theme and account type are sent to our servers at most once per day.
• Sponsor interactions: sponsor impression counts (shown / clicked / skipped) are recorded anonymously; not tied to personal data.

2. Use of Data

Collected data is used solely for the following purposes:

• Compute correct prayer times based on your location
• Provide account security and authentication
• Offer worship-tracking features
• Send prayer-time notifications
• Deliver app updates
• Respond to user support requests
• Improve the app using anonymous usage statistics
• Measure the performance of sponsor content shown

3. Data Sharing

Your personal data is not shared with, sold to or rented to third parties.

The app uses no ad network or third-party analytics SDK (Google Analytics, Firebase Analytics, Facebook SDK, etc.). Anonymous usage statistics are sent only to our own servers (bilginstudios.com). Sponsor content may be shown based on account-type category; this is not personal-data processing but anonymous, category-based content delivery. No behavioral profiling or targeted advertising is done.

Expo (expo.dev) infrastructure is used for app updates. Basic device information is sent to Expo servers as part of this. Expo's privacy policy: https://expo.dev/privacy

Data may be shared with authorities only where legally required.

4. Data Retention and Security

Worship data, notification preferences and location information are stored only on your device. They are not transferred to our servers.

Account information (phone number) is stored encrypted on secure servers.

Industry-standard measures are applied to protect your data. However no internet transmission or electronic storage can be guaranteed 100% secure.

5. Children's Privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. Child accounts may only be created under the supervision and with the consent of a parent.

Data of child accounts is under the parent's control. When the parent account is deleted, associated child data is also removed.

If you learn that we have collected personal data from a user under 13, please contact us.

6. User Rights and Data Deletion

You have the following rights:

• Request access to your data
• Request correction of your data
• Delete your account and all your data

You can delete your account from Settings → Profile → Delete Account. After the request, your data is permanently removed within 30 days.

Local data on your device is automatically erased when you uninstall the app.

7. Policy Changes

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Significant changes are announced in-app. The current policy is always accessible from within the app.

Continued use of the app means you accept the updated policy.
